She decided to expand the publishing business by offering her services to other authors, and by helping specific groups of writers to get onto the global scene, in order to amplify their voices as part of her advocacy work. Through this platform, Samantha seeks the most authentic voices from the most unlikely places, to bring a new flavour of story-telling to global readers.

Lazarus Panashe Nyagwambo

Lazarus Panashe Nyagwambo is a Zimbabwean editor and author. His editing credits include the NAMA winning The Mad Man on First Street and Other Short Stories by David Chasumba and the NAMA nominated 3:15 am and Other Stories by Rudo Manyere which was his first edited work, among many others. As an author, he has been published in various anthologies and literary magazines including Brilliance of Hope compiled by Samantha Vazhure, The In Between by Moya Izoduwa and the litmags Lolwe, Agbówo, Omenana, AFREADA, Munyori and others. He had also published his own short story collection with Carnelian Heart, A Hole in the Air which is available on Amazon and other major book retailers. He currently lives in Harare, Zimbabwe, where he is working on another collection, Welcome to Harare.

Andrea is a freelance copyeditor based in Mexico, specializing in editing both nonfiction and fiction. She is dedicated to helping authors around the globe share their unique stories and messages. With specialized training in copyediting from UC San Diego, Andrea is committed to maintaining the author’s voice and vision while ensuring meticulous attention to detail. She’s also a proud member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the LGBTQ+ Editors Association.
Marian Christie
Poetry Editor
Marian Christie is from Harare, Zimbabwe. She lived in various countries in Africa, Europe and the Middle East before moving to her present home in southeast England. Her writing has been widely anthologized. She has published three books of poetry with Penteract Press –– Fractal Poems, Triangles, and Sky, Earth, Other –– and has written a collection of essays on mathematical forms in poetry. Together with Samantha Rumbidzai Vazhure, Marian is co-editor of Tesserae: a mosaic of poems by Zimbabwean women (Carnelian Heart Press).

Innocent Whande

Innocent is a passionate creative with extensive experience as content creator, writer, book editor and social media manager. He holds a MA in Creative Writing and Publishing from Bournemouth University. Innocent is an award-winning content creator, with his blog Zimbo Son. The Zimbabwean writer self-published a collection of poems titled, My Heart In Ink. At Carnelian Heart Publishing, Innocent has worked on several fiction manuscripts as developmental editor.
Tinashe Muchuri

Tinashe Muchuri lives in Harare. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in language and Literature Production with a focus on Creative Writing and Orature. He is an Editing consultant with over 10 years’ experience and sees himself as the bridge through which many cultural stories and ideas are transformed to stir debate, excite and provoke readers. Tinashe edits Shona fiction and poetry for Carnelian Heart Publishing Ltd among several online magazines and websites.
Tinashe is also a translator (English to Shona, vice versa), a poet, and writer of Shona antinovel titled Chibarabada; children’s books, Zvipfuyo Nevana Vazvo and Auntie Mazvita.

Rhoda Molife
Fiction and Children's Books Editor
Rhoda Molife is a physician and researcher and has authored or co-authored over 65 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, chapters in medical textbooks and presentations at multiple international medical congresses.
She is also a freelance editor, proofreader and writer who has worked with us for the past year. Between 2020-2022, she was the editor of the cult online magazine, House of Mutapa, that celebrated the contributions of Zimbabweans worldwide; she has worked with several independent authors and has written online content for the Google Arts & Culture platform.
In November 2019, she was a finalist for a Precious Award (UK) in the category of Outstanding Woman in STEM.
